Wynand Fockink - liqueur distillery

Lqueurs and genevers still made using the same 17th century traditional craft methods.
Come see how Dutch liquor was and still is made at the Wynand Fockink Proeflokaal (Dutch for tasting tavern). The distillery is located behindt the National Monument on Dam square, in the Pijlsteeg.

Around 1679 Wynand Fockink started a liqueur distillery, which soon expanded with a tasting tavern. Customers could taste and buy the products at the same location. The distillery of Wynand Fockink still practices this way nowadays: you are welcome to view the liquor-making process, taste some liquors and buy a bottle of traditional Dutch liquor. The liquors and genevers that are made here, are still being made with the same 17th century traditional craft methods. There are more than 70 Dutch liqueurs and genevers which can be tasted in this traditonal tasting room. Tasting our products is done in the old fashioned way of bowing to the drink and slurping the first sip from a traditional tulip glass.
