The museum is situated in a monumental building on the Herengracht, where you are taken on a whirlwind tour through 400 years of history. The museum shows you not only why the creation of the Amsterdam canals was so special, but also why they're still special today. The Museum of the Canals is for everyone who loves, or is just about to fall in love with the city of Amsterdam.
